Beat Pistons, Lakers Host Spurs (Undated) -- The NBA's conference finals
began last night as the Celtics beat the Pistons 88-79 in Boston. Kevin
Garnett scored 26 points as Boston improved to 9-and-0 at home this
postseason. The West finals begin tonight as the Lakers host the defending
champion Spurs.

Win NBA Draft Lottery (Secaucus, NJ) -- The Bulls will have the top
pick in next month's NBA Draft after winning the draft lottery last
night. Chicago went in with just a 1.7-percent chance of securing the
top pick. Miami, which had the league's worst record, will select second.
Minnesota has the third pick.

Up For Stanley Cup Final (Detroit, MI) -- The National Hockey League
enjoys a few more days off before the start of the Stanley Cup Final
in Hockeytown. The Western Conference champion Detroit Red Wings will
host the Eastern Conference champion Pittsburgh Penguins in Game One
Saturday in Motown.

In Yankee Return (Bronx, NY) -- The Yankees welcomed Alex Rodriguez
back to the lineup Tuesday, but that's where the good news ended. Mike
Mussina gave up seven runs in the first inning in a 12-2 loss to the
Orioles. A-Rod hit a two-run homer for New York, which lost Derek Jeter
to a wrist injury.

Sign Top Pick Matt Ryan (Flowery Branch, GA) -- The Falcons have signed
first round draft pick Matt Ryan to a six-year contract. The "Atlanta
Journal-Constitution" reports the deal for the Boston College quarterback
is worth $75-million, with nearly $35-million guaranteed. Ryan was the
third-overall pick in April.
